The awesome Marcin Sodkiewicz published AWS & Opentelemetry: Custom Go AWS SDK instrumentations, another high-quality, hands-on resource from a leading practioner in the field.

Tooling

I stumbled upon two new tools that I found interesting:

  • voxpupuli/puppet-otelcol is a Puppet module allowing you to install and manage the upstream OpenTelemetry collector distros.
  • Otelic is a new SaaS offering based on OTel logs and traces, focusing on developer experience.
